Girls' Camp Day 3: 6-27

We woke up and finished packing. There was one optional activity we could do before we left: 200 FOOT RAPELL!! OF COURSE I did it! It was a long hike up and a long wait while some girls from other wards went. One girl's rope got stuck and it took like 15 minutes to get it unstuck. One little Beehive got to the edge and lost her nerve, she started crying. It was so sad!

It was FINALLY my turn! I was the last youth to go (some leaders were doing it too)

It got all set up and stood on the edge, my tennis-shoed toes clinging to the rock. I firmly grabbed the ropes with both hands, leaned back, and looked straight down. I smiled and said, "That's not too bad!" I walked down about 15 feet, then it was a sheer drop. I almost inverted, stopped myself from doing that, then lowered myself down, feet dangling. I gently pushed off the wall, and started spinning. Yeah, I was dangling 175 feet in the air and I was spinning out of control. I stopped my spin, started laughing, and let the rope slipe through my holey-groved hands until I got to the botton. My knees buckled a little, and I started laughing as I looked up my 200 foot journey. Matthew, Kaylee, and Brooke were waiting near the bottom.

I asked them how long I'd taken: 2-3 minutes. Matthew barely had time to get the camera out and take a very fuzzy picture of me.

I walked up the mountain for the last time to give my gear back. I went to the bathroom, came out, and found myself alone. Brooke, Kaylee, and Matthew had said they would wait...but alas, I walked down the mountainous trail to the parking lot, and found them among the other girls and leaders, lounging in camp chairs. I wasn't exactly... happy.

I got so carsick on the way home. We stopped at Subway for food. I felt like I was going to throw up, but my belly was empty. I downed an entire footlong in about 5 minutes, finishing before Matthew, Kaylee, Brooke, or Megan had finished their 6 inch sandwiches. SORRY! Adrenaline rushes make me hungry!

We hit the road again, and I had to tell myself not to throw up. We got to Bountiful and everybody got out to unload and go home. I couldn't stand up I felt so sick. I crawled out of the Expidition and took huge lungfuls of fresh oxygen. My mom was already there, putting my stuff in our car. I was dizzy and couldn't think, so I muttered a "thank you" to my leaders and sat in my car, still fighting to keep it down.

My mom took me home, and I got out, walked over to my dad, hugged him, and told him he had the most HARD-CORE daughter EVER!!

THAT WAS MY AWESOME
GIRLS' CAMP '09!

Girls' Camp Day 2: 6-26

We woke to the sound of an airhorn. 5 girls in our tent, including me, were about ready to murder Megan. The night before, she had given one of our leaders an airhorn as her Secret Sister gift. By the way, we are VERY mean in the morning.

We had breakfast, then chose our first activity for the second day of girls' camp. We wanted to go rock climbing before it got too hot, but another ward got to it first. We picked the next best thing: C.O.P.E. I don't remember what it stood for, but the E was Experience, I think.

The first part of C.O.P.E. was team building stuff. The funnest, scariest, and for me, most painful part was the trust fall one. You climbed onto this platform thing while everyone else stood shoulder to shoulder with there arms at 90 degree angles. You had to be stiff as a board as you fell. It was fun. Megan went up and as she fell back, she kinda flailed her arm, which smacked me in the nose and mouth as she fell. We set her down and of course I started crying. I'm so glad Matthew was there. He ran over and put his arms around me. I started hyperventilating really badly. I scared everybody, including myself, but I couldn't stop. Poor Megan felt terrible, but I could only cry and gasp for air every time she apologized. I finally got myself under control, had some water, told Meg it was fine, then got right back in to the activity. C.O.P.E. was a lot of fun, but it's really hard to explain..so...

We had lunch and our two hour break, then we went rock climbing. 5 people got to go rapelling, but I was too slow to be one of the 5, so I went rock climbing first. I only got halfway up when i couldn't find any hand holds, so I came down. I walked, or crawled, back up the mountain, walked through the C.O.P.E. course up to where the rapelling was. Kaylee and Brooke were already up there, so I sat down next to them. I spotted an inch worm on a rock, which kept us fascinated for a while, and we made up a new dance move! :)

Brooke, then Kaylee went down. I asked the guy in charge how high it was. He said 60 feet. Though some other people said 100. I think it was 60 though. I almost inverted (go upside down), but I didn't. My dad is a certified First Responder, so i have rapeller's blood in my veins. It was so much fun!!

The Bishop and his wife showed up. The Bishop climbed all the way up...in mawkasins! Wendy, his wife, kept both feet firmly planted on the ground.

It was dinner time. We went back to camp to get ready for testimony meeting. Bishop Pitt and Wendy always bring us Nelson's frozen custard when they come up to Camp. We'd just got a roaring fire going when it started pouring and thundering and lightening. I was fine, but everybody else sissied out and made us go find shelter. We had testimony meeting without a fire, it was weird. I kinda started crying during Matthew's. I could barely talk during mine because I got all emotional when I started talking about Matthew.

It was still raining a little when we finished up, so everybody sprinted back to our tents. We were leaving the next morning so we packed what we could see in the dark and went to bed.

Girls' Camp Day 1: 6/25

Everybody had to meet in the church parking lot at 5:55 AM! We loaded our stuff, had a morning devotional, then piled into cars and departed for Camp Browning in Ogden Canyon. My car "got lost" on 5th South, and "found" a nifty little bagel shop, when suddenly, we were hungry! :)

Upon arrival at girls camp, everybody needeed to pee. We were all waiting outside the bathrooms when we heard a shrill scream, "THERE'S A BAT IN THE TOILET!" Apparently, (we'll call her J) J had peed on the bat and it started hissing at her. She couldn't get her pants up or the door open. She finally got out of the stall and the guy who was in charge of our ward went into the bathroom armed with a stick and a rock. The bat lost. What a crappy way to die! You're minding your own business, taking a nap, when you get peed on, everybody starts screaming, then you get hit with a stick and smashed by a rock! Ouch!

We unloaded the cars and picked out tents. The tents weren't exactly spacious, but we managed to fit 6 foam pads, 6 sleeping bags, 6 girls, and 7 pillows. It was cozy.

The lady, who was also in charge of us, told us that we shouldn't have any food in our tents or bags because the wildlife had super sharp teeth and went crazy at the smell of food, or lipgloss, chapstick, perfume, you name it. One year, a girl had left a single Skittle in her scripture bag, which ended up in tatters because of the squirrels and chipmunks. "Rabid" I often called them.

The camp, Camp Browning, is a Boy Scout camp, which was very...intense. Very different from girls camps.

The first activity that my ward picked was the Geocache. (a 6 mile hike). We passed a recently dead dear. It was AWFUL! It smelled so bad and was covered in flies. Yuck. We walked through rivers and stuff and my shoes got SO wet! One girl in my ward was in the very front and we heard her scream "RATTLE SNAKE!" Sure enough, right next to the trail, there was a rattler, it was pretty pissed off. No one got bitten, though.

We went back and had lunch. After lunch we had a two hour break until our next activity: Aquatics. I jumped into my swimming suit and walked down the massive, painfully steep mountian down to the dock where the canoes waited. Megan, Jenny (YW president) and I got into one canoe and tried to get across the lake. By tried, I mean, the uneven distrabution of paddling power made it extremely difficult gooing straight. "Drunk canoeing" you could call it. I was in the middle, and everytime I paddled we went way of course. We were the last boat to get to our next aquatic destination of the other side of the lake: Cliff Diving.

Well, not exactly diving. It's basically impossible to dive with a life jacket on. So we could call it Cliff Jumping. Anyway, I got out of the boat and my feet touched the water and I screamed. It was FREEZING! I started up the slippery, muddy, rocky, steep path up to the jumping part. One girl from my ward was standing on the ledge, saying that she was terrified of heights. She got away from the ledge and I said I'd love to go! I stood there for a second, looking down. I asked the Aquatics dude how hight this was. About 27ish feet. I looked down again, smiled, asked for a countdown, and jumped, screaming all the way down. SPLASH! It was so cold! I came back up. Someone still on the cliff asked how it was, and I could only gasp and scream. I swam over and went up again. I jumped again, then got back in the canoe. I sat in the back this time, Jenny in the middle, and Megan in the front again. The Aquatics guy and his boat were near us. My arms got really tired, so he taught us how to switch places without capsizing the canoe. Oh, it was classic!

We got back and Megan and I started up the massive hill. The wind started blowing, it was cold. I kind of had a temper tantrum and started hitting tree branches with my paddle. "I HATE NATURE!!" I would scream.

We had diner, then planned out a skit for the 3 ward devotional thing we had to go to. The skit involved several people, a wad of gum, and the words "Sharing. A message from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints." I volunteered to be the last person to get the gum. The gum was dropped in the dirt, had wood chips picked out of it, played with and pulled apart, and combined with another girl's piece of gum before it got to me. I popped it in my mouth, chewed, and blew a bubble and said, "Sharing. A message from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints." Yes, it was grand. :)

We went back to our camp and roasted marshmellows. Some tried to roast jolly ranchers. It failed-they kept melting and falling into the fire. We started telling stories: scary stories, embarrassing stories. I told my story about the First Hug, with the slipping on the ice and stuff. The scary stories were so bad! And the ones Jenny told gave us all nightmares. She attracted freaky people in her life!

Everybody drifted to their tents. My tent of 6 girls stayed up talking for a while. Then we slept.

And that was DAY 1 of Girls' Camp!!

MJH JAZZ BAND TRIP!!!

Okay, so many, or few, of you know that I went on the MJH Jazz Band Trip to California, June 7-11. I'm back!

On Sunday, at 6 pm, after taking one group photo of everyone in PJ's, we boarded the really nice tour bus and headed for California. I got to sit by Keenan. Which was fantastic, believe me! Until it was time to sleep....I couldn't get comfortable, so I sat up and let him get comfortable and let him sleep. I woke him up when we got to Vegas. After that I seriously could not calm down. The lights...wow..lol. My mom gave me some like advil PM (trying to get me to sleep) which did not work! We stopped in Barstow, California, at 2 am, for a bathroom break/get a snack. I got some really good bubble gum which kept me entertained for a while :) Then it was back on the bus, and we drove all the way to Anaheim. There were these really weird lights on a hill on the way there. I said to Keenan at like 4 in the morning, "Keenan?"
"Yeah?"
"What are the lights for?"
"I don't know."
"....That's gay."Lol. It was exciting! I finally, finally fell asleep in Keenan's lap about an hour before we got to Food4Less in Anaheim to get muffins and juice and cereal and fruit to eat for
breakfast. It was around 6 AM, wayy too early for me!

We went to the hotel to try and check in early, but they only had a few rooms ready, so the other group of girls my mom was in charge of had to put their stuff in our room. We had about an hour to "freshen up" and get back on the bus to go to DISNEYLAND!! Yeah...the "freshening up" part was rather disastrous... 8 girls, one mirror, one sink, one shower, one toilet. Luckily the toilet and shower were separate from the sink.

We boarded the bus and headed to Disneyland. The Jazz Band had a workshop with a Disney musician. It took a long time. We learned to play Pink Elephants (from Dumbo).

When it was finally over, we went into the park. Keenan had gone in when we got there instead of coming with the band, and I wanted to find him. He didn't have a phone yet, so I had no idea where he was. Someone mentioned It's a Small World, me, my mom, and Manna headed over there. He finally got off, and he looked like he was in pain.

It turned out that the ride had broken down just a few feet from the exit, and they couldn't get off, but the annoying music continued playing. I think he was stuck there for about 20 minutes? I don't know. Poor kid.

I went on some rides in Disneyland, then over to California Adventures. My favorite rides there are the ferris wheel, the Tower of Terror and Screamin'. My favorite rides in Disneyland are Space Mountian, Teacups! I honestly don't remember much of Disneyland. The Materhorn was so much fun cuz I went with Madeleine and we were screaming the entire time (it's not even a scary ride!!) :] yay.

At the end of the night, I remembered that we were only going to be there one day, and I HADN'T BEEN ON TEACUPS!!!!!! So I dragged Manna and Keenan there. Keenan didn't want to go...but I made him. He was miserable. We were heading back to ESPN when the fire work show started. That was fun to watch. We bought churros and went over to the ESPN zone (where everybody met) then walked two blocks back to the hotel, at MIDNIGHT! I was exhausted and could barely walk, so Keenan pushed me most of the way back.

I shared a hotel room with four girls. I showered and went to bed with my hair wet. In the morning I hurried and did makeup and hair and went downstairs.

I went outside and found a bunch of people playing hacky sac. I tried to play...and totally made a fool of myself. We boarded the bus and we had these weird sandwiches that made me sick on the way to SANTA MONICA PIER!! I was really hyper as the ocean came into view. (I'd never seen the ocean before) I was bouncing in my seat. Keenan was practically asleep against the window. No body else was acting like me. They all seemed bored. But I was sooo excited! We got into the parking lot and the jazz band grabbed their music folders, stands, and put their instruments together right there in the parking lot. I was kinda scared to touch the sand so I didn't, we went right up to the pier to play. That was exciting! We were about to play our second song when someone shouted, "LOOK!! DOLPHINS!!" And everybody turned around and looked out into the ocean. And there was a pod of dolphins there was! Awesome!

So we played for a while. I got to solo, and the humidity was messing with my saxophone so I couldn't hit my high notes at the end of my solo. I was disappointed. So Justin, the other first tenor, dropped his mouth piece when he was putting together, and it broke! I mean, last week of school he tripped and broke his new expensive Buffet clarinet! So he used a BAND-AID and put his mouth piece back together. Someone had red duct tape so he used that too. It was stupid. After we were done playing I went and put my sax away. Everyone headed down to the beach but Manna, my mom, and I figured that we'd shop first while we weren't wet and sandy. I bought a super cute yellow floppy sun hat. :) yay. It was a lot of fun. When I finally decided that we should go down and play in the ocean, everybody else was going up to eat and shop. So it was just me, Manna, and my mom down there. Madeleine was feeding some courageous seagulls while I edged my way to the ocean. IT WAS COLD!! After feeding the seagulls, Madeleine rolled up her pant legs and joined me in the ocean. Those dang courageous seagulls were going through my bag and started dragging my sunglasses across the sand!! I mean, really!? lol. Manna and I only got thigh deep in the ocean, but it was so much fun! We went back up to the pier and ate, then everybody got on the bus and we were on our way to Six Flags!!!

Six Flags was SOO much fun! You don't even know! It has the cr-iz-aziest rides in the world! A billion times better than any ride at Lagoon. Most rides got up to 2 Gees. It was INSANE!!!! So much fun!

We got there, and I had to peee!!! And so did most everyone else. We found a bathroom and I took a bit longer than everybody, and I. GOT. LEFT! No one waited for me! Except for my good ol' madre. If my mom hadn't come on the trip, I would have been alone in Six Flags! I was soooo pissed off. We finally found the ride where everyone had been meeting, called Scream, we got in line, and I saw Miah's head almost about to get on so I shouted and told him to wait for me. He shook his head and of course I started crying. My mom told me to stop crying because people around me might have been thinking I was crying because I was scared. I was just angry!!! I HATE GETTING LEFT!!! My mom and I got on the ride, and the kids who were nice enough to wait for me (Miah decided to wait as well, I think he misunderstood me before) started yelling and pointing at their eyes. My mom yelled, "I know, I'm crazy!" and someone shouted, "GLASSES!" My mom was all strapped in and we were starting to go so she just stuck them down her shirt with "the girls" and zipped up her jacket. And if she hadn't taken the off, they would have flown away and shattered on the ground (as we saw when we walked toward the exit) We went on a ton of crazy rides. There was this weird dare devil show going on there so we went to that. It was really loud. :( I was so bored!! Then after there were these crazy parasailers (think that's what they're called) that were pretend fighting as they came down. That was pretty cool, though I was very very tired! I don't want to tell you about every single ride. There were so many! Amazing too!

But I will tell you about one particular ride...THE RIDDLER. A.K.A. Miah's Nightmare. (Dun dun dun!!!!) So it's this ride where you're standing, but you're strapped in. You adjust the seat to your height before the ride starts. And there's this kinda seat, not really, between your legs. Of course Miah was messing around with the height, pushed it up way to high, and it locked. His feet were dangling, and this ride slams you up and down. He was basically crying. I felt so bad for him! But I couldn't stop laughing!! He got off the ride and waddled to the exit. He had to sit down and breathe for a while. And of course, the girls we told laughed their heads off, and the guys we told moaned and winced in sympathy. Lol.

At the end of the day some of us were standing in line for a ride called DeJaVu when we had to leave. We found my mom and hustled to meet up with the rest of the group. We took a wrong turn and got lost. It was bad. We finally found our way back to the group and got on the bus and went to Jimmy Deans. That was fun I guess. Too much fast food on the trip though. We checked into a new hotel. Mr. King had reserved a room for us to use to play games and just chill in until about Midnight. It was fun playing cards with people. :) Slowly, people started heading for their rooms. I finally went up at around midnight and flopped onto my bed and fell asleep.

The next morning I hurried and packed up, and went to my mom's room to get ready for the day. She went downstairs and got some of the breakfast that the hotel was providing and
brought some up to me while I prepped for the day. I finished getting ready and went back to my room and grabbed my stuff. One girl forgot like 6 things so Esther grabbed them. I was waiting for Esther because I didn't want her to be alone in the hotel, and we were the last ones out to the bus. That was kind of embarrassing!

We departed for a second day of Six Flags. Our last day in California. :( Once we got in, we headed to a ride called X2. It didn't look so bad. It was just loopdy-loops. My mom was feeling pretty confident when Keenan pointed out the ride we were in line for was not the loopdy-loop one. This one went straight up and straight down. The seats rotated 360 degrees. Upside down, loops, I mean, this ride was CRAZY! Some people told us they actually blacked out!!! My mom was really tempted to get out of line, but she couldn't find the "Old-White-Lady Exit". So she went!!! It was awesome! The seats had speakers next to your ears and played really cool music during the ride. I can't even explain how CRAZYYYY the ride was!!! Before we got on every ride my mom would say to Keenan, "Why?" And he would just smile and say, "Because Julie. Because."

We were walking past this one ride, called Tatsu. (one of the best rides there, honsestly!) when all of a sudden we see this black thing fly past us and hit the ground. My mom thought, "Crazy bird! Wait a second, birds don't make clattering sounds!" Someone's CAMERA had flown out of their pocket and almost killed all of us! It was sooo scary!!! I feel bad for whoever lost their camera, but we almost died! That could have killed someone! Bah! But no one was hurt, which is always a bonus on trips!!!!

So my two crazy-fun buddies, Keenan and Miah, convinced me to go on this "Dive Devil". It's like the SkyCoaster at Lagoon, but taller I think. (Everything at Six Flags is a billion times better than Lagoon, seriously) So they let me pull the rip cord. I got up and I heard someone say "Alpha 3, 2, 1" and I pulled the cord. We went soaring!!! It was awesome!!!! I screamed for a second, and then after the initial drop I just started jabbering. Lol. That's me alright. Always jabbering. So Erin, Miah's little sis, wanted to go on it as well (only 3 people can go at a time) so Miah, Keenan, and Erin went again, this time Keenan got to pull the rip cord (it was his birthday!) I watched the video that had been taken of us, and me, my mom, and Miah's mom, Toni were laughing so hard we could barely stand up and we were crying. As we dropped, Miah's face had caught the wind just right...oh goodness. I'm still laughing about it. :)

My mom's phone rang, and it was Matthew. We were both really nervous because we'd been expecting his mission call to come while we were gone. It came! And we were in California!!! We searched frantically for a quiet place to listen as Matthew read his call, but everywhere we went there was screaming, or music blasting from speakers on the roofs of buildings. We ran to the Guest Relations building and hid in the corner, straining to hear what was going on back home. The music was blaring outside and the door was open. It wasn't even good music, I pointed out to my mom. So Matthew opened his call and he's going to Burmingham, Alabama!!! Dang! he's going to come back with the nastiest accent! lol jk:). I was shaking and I needed a hug from Keenan, but he was on the Batman ride. (I never ended up going on that ride...:/) So when all of them were done they came and met us by this GIANT fake tree! We decided since we were leaving in about an hour that we should go shopping for souvenirs. I agreed. I got my hug and went shopping. It was Keenan's birthday so I wanted to get him a present! I got him a shirt. I felt lame, but he wore it yesterday so...:)

We were all waiting for everyone to meet by the gates. Just chillin' around! I got a really awesome WonderWoman shirt that says "Strength & Beauty", a SuperGirl cape, and a
yellow WonderWoman bracellet. I am WonderWoman because I survived the dive devil!!! :) wooo

So we all loaded the bus and I heard Toni (Miah's mom) behind me say to Erin, "I can't find my camera". My stomach dropped. She had sooo many pictures from the trip on that
camera. We think left it on a bench at Six Flags. Oh goodness, it still makes me sick to think about it! Her husband was on his way to Vegas, and we were going to In N' Out Burger then jetting home. :( I never found out if she got it back!

Okay, In N' Out was NOT a good idea just before a 12+ hour bus ride. There were HUGE slabs of onion on everybody's burger. I took mine off (I don't like onions) but a lot of people didn't. The bus ride home was MISERY!!! Almost all of the boys kept farting in their sleep! It was soooo bad. The bus smelled like something had died and been left to rot for a month or two! It was terrible!!! And of course, I still didn't sleep at all on the way home. I sat by the window this time. I let Keenan put his head in my lap so he could get some sleep. He's a very peaceful sleeper. (Yes I watched him sleep. I was soo bored! I couldn't use my phone or iPod because I sat kinda in the front of the bus and the light would wake everybody up!) Driving through southern Utah on a cloudless full moon night is...incredible! I mean, you could say, "The Hills Are Alive." It's awesome! Woo.

We stopped in St. George for a bathroom break and stretch. It was probably like 5 in the morning. Not completely night time, but not quite day time yet. After going to the bathroom and jumping and walking around for a bit, I got back onto the bus and almost threw up. It was soooo bad! It smelled like we hadn't showered or exited the bus for 3 weeks. It was awful :(

I sat down in the stench and we left St. George for the final push home. Mr. King told us to all go back to sleep. "Not a word, I'm serious." He was a teacher again for a minute. It was scary. Before the band trip, Mr. King was just a teacher. A teacher who I didn't like sometimes. But now...he's just a friend. Someone to hang out with. I was on a bus for Youth conference and I kept expecting to hear King over the intercom. It was weird!

When it got too light outside to sleep, we watch Back To The Future. What a weird show!!! We stopped at a Flying J in like Provo or Ogden or...wow, that's wrong. Maybe it was Spanish Fork? I really don't know! My face got this weird rash thing on it during the trip. It really burned!!! I wanted to buy some face lotion at the gas station, but there wasn't any. I played hacky sac with a group of people then we got back on the bus and went home to MJH. It was raining on the way home. It rained at home the entire time we were gone. :) We took the sunshine and brought it back.

I really miss the band trip. It was sooo much fun. I love the bus rides to and from California. I will remember this trip, and those involved, for the rest of my life.
What an AWESOME way to end my 9th grade year!!

My Birth

Wow. I'm glad I was too little to remember my birth. Ugh, what if we remembered every single thing from the moment our lives started? Uck.

Anyway, so I was born on September 14 at 9:03 in the morning (thus explaining why I am not a morning person!) I was born about two weeks early, which, y'know, isn't that bad.

One night for family home evening we were watching home videos, and someone had taped just after I'd been born (hallelujah that they didn't record the whole process!!!) Anyway, so they were taping the part when the doctors took me into a room to check me out. And, watching this, any non-blind person could tell that I was not getting enough oxygen. My breathing was too shallow, and not in the right area (more up by my throat) and, I WAS PURPLE!!! And like, a long time later some nurse said, "Uh...Is she supposed to be breathing like that?" GRR!! I COULD HAVE DIED!! Well, the crowd of my family by the window watching me didn't notice either. But, still!

Turns out that my lungs were not fully developed. So off I went to Primary Children's Hospital (by ambulance because the chopper was waaaayy to expensive!)

I was at Primary for about 2 weeks before I finally got to go home. So, I had a very rough start to my life.

PARK CITY!

So today, I went to Park City with the most amazing people ever!!! Ash, Steph, Keenan, Miah, Andres, Erin, Joni, and Alex (the one other kid in the band) yeah! It was fun!

So we left at like 11. I, being Laura, did not get very much sleep on friday (which was a total blast, even though some people hated going to Fools, I had FUN!!!! Matthew totally swung danced with me and threw me all over the place. Haha!!!) So I kinda leaned against Keenan and I was out like a light not soon after that. (though I was concious of the fact that he was stroking my skin and playing with my fingers.) :D!

So we got there, and Keenan was trying to wake me up. I felt like crap when we arrived. (I got kinda carsick) We got there and listened to people playing and played hacky sack and all this grand stuff. It was a great time!!!

So, Depraved Indifference (Miah, Keenan, Erin, and Alex's band) played there today. YEAH THEY ROCKED!!!! (noooo pun intended!) Oh man, and when they played Bonzo (My Brain is Hanging Upside Down) Me, Ash, Steph, and Joni went up and sang back grounds and flipped our hair all over. It was FUN!!!

On the way home, my stomach was being very very annoying and I felt like I was going to throw up, so I leaned against Keenan and he put his arm around me and I fell asleep on the way to Woods Cross. We went to Village Inn and ate food. I was very very very tired during dinner and I laughed at stupid things and all of my words were slurred. It was insane. But the cookies n'cream milkshake was tasty. :)

I was pretty bummed cuz tonight was Woodstock, and I couldn't go (firstly, I'm going to Bountiful. Secondly, I had been gone for 2 days and so I had stuff to do at home). Everybody had a blast without me and I had to stay home and clean and practice my dang sax.

Oh well. I'm watching Dr. Who. :)

Peace!

Hope For FUDGE!!!!

I'm going to get the solo in Fudge Said The Judge. Yes I will! Mr. King is finally going to open his eyes and see how amazing I am. How much better than Josh and Justin and Ryker I am. Tomorrow morning when Justin plays his solo, King will realize that the amazing solo he's been hearing was actually me, not Justin. Mr. King is going to feel like an absolute IDIOT!! Cuz Justin is going to TOTALLYYY slaughter the 2 solo sections Mr. King gave him. GRRR!!

When I try out, I'm ging to put my anger into my solo and totally blow everyone away, quite literally thank you!!

THIS SOLO IS
MINE!!!!!!!!!!

KIDNAPPED!!!!

So there I was, doing my hair and makeup for the day (yeah, it was 5pm) when the door bell rings and I hear my mom shout, "WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING HERE!?"

I can hear my closest, funnest amazingest friends laughing so I sneak down the hall and peek my head around the corner...

Stephanie was crouched on my floor, holding my dogs collar. I thought, "HUH!" But then I realized Steph was holding a gun!!! (well, it was just her fingers but, still! Those things can be LETHAL!!) She saw me and jumped up, seizing me around the neck and began pulling me toward the front door. I could see Keenan, Ash, Andres, Abe, and Daniel through the glass door. I shouted in confusion (Steph was really hurting my neck!) I mean, I needed shoes!!! Still holding me in a head lock, Steph dragged me to my room and I slipped on some flip flops and grabbed my yellow jacket. I was then dragged out of my house.

"Where's your phone?" My mom asked, a little too casually.
"Back pocket!" I said in a daze as I was dragged out to Emma's van.

I had been KiDnApPeD!! And my mom had just watched it happen!

We left my house and were on our way to kidnap Miah and Erin. We got there and everybody bailed out of the van. We rang the doorbell for like 5 minutes before Miah answered the door. We demanded that he come out with us immediately. But he said, "I gotta go get shoes." I was watching him from the bottom of the stairs, wondering why he walked from his room into his mom's. Then I heard the water running.

Andres and I ran up the stairs to find him BRUSHING HIS TEETH! We tried to stop him, almost rammed the toothbrush down his throat, I put some lotion on him. Nothing worked. So we let him be. He finished then, UGH! He had to go put friggin' colonge on!!! His sister had to change and stuff..

THEY FAIL AT GETTING KIDNAPPED!

We finally got them outside and into the car. I was a bit disappointed cuz I was smashed against the window and Keenan was up front. Oh well. Emma began telling us about why we had been kidnapped-WALMART SCAVENGER HUNT! Yeah, that was FUN! I was on Keenan, Steph, Erin, and Abe's team. WE WON!!! wOo!!

So after we won, we went to McDonalds and got ice cream. Emma used a British accent when she ordered the 10 ice cream cones, got mad when the dude only said 2. We drove up and when the kid who was making the ice cream cones rolled his eyes and said, "Women", Emma said, "You're going to bloody hell for that." And drove off. All 9 teenagers were laughing so hard we were about to pee our pants, and Emma was about to crash the car. We went to Emma's workplace and MADE COOKIES! Yum. Most of us went into this waaayy nice conference room and started spinning around on the office chairs. (Ashlee and Miah went and sat on the couch in the other room. -rolls eyes- hehe)

Well...I asked Emma if I could copy my face in the copy machine. Yeah!!! Whoo! After that everyone else started to. Everybody placed a hand on the copy machine. It was GREAT! Dang those cookies were GOOD!! Lol. In the storage room in the office space I found this fold out thing with holes were you put your head. Yeah! It was two HOTT Hawaiian people it!! MAN IT WAS SEXY!!!! Lol.

After wreaking havoc on the office, Emma decided it was time to take everybody home. On the way home, Emma gave us our cover story: We just made cookies, sat in a circle, and sang Kum-Ba-Yah the entire time. Lol. YES!!!

So I was like DOG TIRED on the way home so I just kinda napped on Keenan on the way home. Silly me, I left my cellular device in Emma's car! Emma threatened to sell it on ebay with the photos we'd copied!!! Ahh, so after they finished dropping everybody off, they came back. YES! KEENAN BROUGHT ME FRIES AGAIN!!! WOO! And I got ANOTHER hug. Hehe.

Yeah, I hope all of my kidnappers are that awesome!

Snack Shack

So today after I finished my homework (yes, mom, I FINISHED my math!) I went over to Centerville to work at the Snack Shack with my two buds: Miah and Keenan. Ash, Steph, Joni and Erin are all on the same softball team, and they had a game today, so Keenan, Miah, and I took over the Shack. It was a lot of fun...until Andy (Ash and Steph's l'il bro) showed up.

Dang that kid is VIOLENT! He was totally beating the crap out of Keenan. And seriously hurt him!!! And there wasn't anything I could do to help Keenan cuz...y'know.......I can't help there!!!

Andy whacked Miah with a broken, jagged broom handle (all 3 guys were like fighting the entire time. It was SOO boring. Lol) and Miah's hand started bleeding everywhere! It was so gross I thought I was going to throw up. There was blood all over in front of the Shack. Yuck. It was a pretty color though. And the cut that was bleeding was TINY!!! It was way random.

So Andy finally settled down a bit after Miah got hurted. All 4 of us were tired, so Keenan, Miah, and I sat on the edge of the Snack Shack counter thingy? Anyway, I was listening to Taylor Swift on my sexy pink iPod and I put the other earphone in Keenan's ear. He's NEVER heard Taylor Swift! I know, huh! Blasphemy! So I started whisper-singing. I was bad! My voice kept cracking cuz I was singing so softly. Miah said it was pretty, and I bet Keenan would agree. Psh. Why do they lie to me? -.-

Poor poor Keenan. He is in so much pain. I hope he feels better.

Yeah, it was an exciting day!!!

ToMoRrOw Is FrIdAy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -happy dance-

Fathers

I think that fathers are a very important part of the family. they support families, provide money for food, clothes, and education.

My dad's job has always required him to go out of town for weeks, sometimes months. When he goes, my grades, particularly in mat, noticably drop. I am incredibly relieve when my dad comes home so he can help me do better in math!!

It's good to have two priesthood holders in my home, not just my older brother when my dad's away. I feel much safer, so much comfort, when I know that I can ask for a priesthood blessing when times get hard.

My father is a big guy with a huge heart. He loves to laugh and make others laugh. He is intelligent and thoughtfully deep. He often has very profound comments. He is such a great example to me.

I LOVE MY DADDY!!!

Describe What You Wear When You're Trying to Impress

Hmm...When I'm trying to impress somebody, be it a parent, a friend, or a boy, I usually wear something bRiGhT and flashy, sometimes tight fitting, rarely low, usually my skinny jeans. Not high heels cuz I'm usually around short people anyway-Don't want to look too out of proportion.

I think that it doesn't really matter what you wear when you're trying to impress, it's how you wear it. If you're fun loving, happy and bright, positive. That's what impresses people. Not the overly-expensive name brands or perfume. Looking neat is important, sure, and so is smell. But as long are you're happy and you make other people happy, you're bound to make a good first impression.
